Unit 1
COM 111—Introduction to Computer I
Designed for students who have no computer experience. Students will learn about fundamental concepts of computers.
Topics include the basics of word processing, spreadsheet capabilities of Excel, presentation tools of Power Point, Internet applications, etc.
No Prerequisite
COM 112—Introduction to Computer II
Designed to cover advanced introduction to the fundamentals of computers. Topics are the same as COM 101 but include an advanced level of word processing, spreadsheet, Power Point, and Internet applications, equipping students with ability to apply their learning to a variety of work environments.
Prerequisite: COM 111
Unit 2
COM 201—Computer Hardware Organization I
Designed to cover the introduction to organization and structure of the major hardware components of computers for troubleshooting.
Prerequisite: COM 112
COM 202—Computer Hardware Organization II
Intended for students who want to acquire in-depth skills and knowledge on hardware components of computers.
Prerequisite: COM 201
Unit 3
COM 301—Web Design I
The course includes learning the basics of Web page design and development. Students will create attractive web pages with Dreamweaver that is a powerful tool for creating web pages quickly and easily using page layout techniques or using HTML code.
Prerequisite: COM 112
COM 302—Web Design II
This course focuses on Dreamweaver’s advanced web site creation features, including graphics, illustration, and animation.
Prerequisite: COM 301
Unit 4
COM 401—Database Concept
Focuses on database design and management.
Prerequisite: COM 302
COM 402—Web Server Management
Focuses on design and implementation of custom solution and advanced level web sites.
Prerequisite: COM 401
Unit 5
COM 500—Internship
Designed especially for the preparation of instructors and technicians that involves the supervised practical application of previously learning on Microsoft Office and Web Design.
Prerequisite: COM 112
COM 501—Cyber Evangelism
Designed to cover the practical application of computer skills and knowledge to promote evangelism through cyber-space. Topics include evangelism strategies, utilization and management of web-site, global communication networking, and partnership evangelism.
No Prerequisite required.
